The Battle Creek Society of Artists

The BCSA is a non-profit organization that supports its functions by monies made from various fund-raisers, as well as from member dues.  In turn, the BCSA gives back to the community annually in scholarship money.  Gifts in kind through donations of time, talent and art pieces are also often given by members to assist community groups and non-profit organizations.

The club offers inspiration and encouragement to beginning, intermediate and advanced artists.  There is a sense of camaraderie in the club, as well as a feeling of acceptance; each artist knows the struggles of developing their art at any level.  A creative atmosphere is very important to artists, and our club strives to provide that environment.

Excellent programs by experienced artists, and the opportunity to exhibit frequently at various locations around the area are offered.  Small group format learning situations are often organized by the membership, usually at no additional charge.  Mini workshops are held at KCC on the second Friday of most months for a small fee, and feature a variety of art-related subjects as taught by the membership.

Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings, and to enjoy the monthly demonstrations given by artist-speakers.  Monthly meetings are generally held the last Friday of each month at 1:00 p.m., September through May on the campus of Kellogg Community College, Davidson Building in the small auditorium, room 202.

2012/2013 Membership Year General Meeting Dates: September 28, October 26, November 16, January 25, February 22, March TBD, April 26, May TBD.
